This week was our second week in Marymount Hospice and what a productive day we had. There was LOTS of digging and weeding to be done and many trips to the compost bin with the wheelbarrow (sometimes it even contained shrubs and weeds!!!)
The children worked extremely hard today and were proud delighted with the progress they made!
Thank you to all the parents who are helping out, either providing lifts and/or their gardening skills. It couldn't be done without you.
Don't forget to check back in to see the finished product.

Sciath na Scol Cluichà Ceannais
Today was another memorable day for Scoil Bhailenóra. Every player representing our school today worked extremely hard and gave it their all on the day. They should all be proud of themselves as their supporters were very proud to be cheering them on. Maith sibh a bhuachaillí agus a chailíní!I have no doubt many of you will be representing your secondary schools on the pitch in the not too distant future!

A VERY Special Visitor
Last Wednesday we had a visit from a very special person. Seán had made his Confirmation and came back to see us all. We were thrilled to have him back and it was wonderful to see him so happy and mature. We look forward to having him back in Ballinora again soon.
1916 Projects
We have spent the last couple of months learning about the events before, during and after Easter 1916. We have learned so much about our country's history and what was sacrificed to achieve our independence. We are very proud of our country. After all we learned, we decided to focus on those personalities of the Rising, who were most interesting to us.
Our New School
Today was the very first day in our brand new school! For the first time ever our school has stairs!!All the rooms are so bright and airy. We are thrilled (even if we are a little further away from the pitch!)

Celebrating Ireland
Today was, without a doubt, a day to remember!
The day began with our class, and the other senior classes, reading out our Proclamations for Ireland's future. We raised our National Flag and sang Amhrán na bhFiann.
The halla was a hive of activity. We were treated to a fantastic performance by our Banna Ceol. This was followed by a recitation of 'The Mother' by Pádraig Pearse and performances of 'Óró sé do bheatha 'bhaile', the ballad 'Grace' and 'An Maidrín Rua'.
The day came to an end with a school céilí, certainly our best yet!
It was a wonderful day that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Maith sibh a pháistí!
